Railroads in Cuba

Cuba was the first country in Latin America to build a railroad and the only Carribean Island to still have one. Contrary to what many people believe, the Cuban railway system is alive and well. A well-maintained mainline railway crosses the length of the island and many lesser used branch lines carry freight and local passenger trains with basic services and very low ticket prices
