Train #1 (Known as French train) Is the fast overnight from
Havana to Santiago de Cuba.
It stops at Santa Clara and Cameguey. Contrary to popular belief, it is
quite reliable.
The reclining seats are wide and comfortable (three across), though in
need of a good cleaning.
Avoid the first and last row of seats at the very ends of the coaches,
as they do not recline.
Beware of the air conditioning...
It works too well!
Dress warmly for this trip!
