Museo de la Revolucion

[DIR] Home

Prior to the Cuban Revolution in the 1950s, this building was the residence of the President of Cuba. Because the building was tainted with the intense corruption of most of the Presidents of Cuba in the first half of the 20th Century, the Revolutionary Government refused to occupy the oppulantly appointed building. Eventually it was converted to a comprehensive museum commerating the history of Cuban independence.
