Biran - The birthplace of the Cuban Revolution

While all Cubans know Biran to be the birthplace of Fidel, few of them have the opportunity to visit the site. Lance and I decided that we might be able to revisit the site with the intention of photographing and videotaping the entire site. Juan Luis, Director of the school for Art Instructors, and our friend Leonardo Geuvara of ICAP in Bayamo arranged our transportation and accompanied us on the trip back to Biran where we were given incredible freedom to explore and photograph this important historical site.

Our hopes are to develop a documentary that could be made available at little or no cost in Cuba telling how Fidel's early years at Biran shaped his future vision of a Revolutionary Cuba.
