In December of 1956 a band of 82 Cuban rebel fighters under the command of Fidel Castro landed their boat in the worst possible spot and had to fight their way to dry land through dense mangrove swamps. The first farmer's hut they found agreed to help them. This is a replica of the home of the family who helped them escape the forces of the dictator Batista. |
