Walking down the Prado late in the evening on New Years Eve, we heard beautiful music
coming from the outdoor pool area of the Hotel Sevilla. We went inside to investigate and
found that we were allowed to enter and watch a performance of water ballet from the opera Carmen.
It happened that where were - the balcony overlooking the pool - happened to be one of the best
places from which to view the performance... and it was free! Of course, the patrons on the
main floor must have had to pay a premium price for their dinner and entertainment.
