Biran.... The Birthplace of FidelMap ReferenceOn August 13, 1926, Fidel Castro Ruz was born near the village of Biran. As the son of a wealthy land owner, he grew up on a farm that was actually a small community consisting of a store, a school, a small medical clinic, a post office and a number of buildings that housed the workers. And while the site is generally not open to the public, we were given a guided tour of the entire area. |
